Knoebel Construction, one of St. Louis’ largest contractors, has completed work on eight Burger King locations in three states.

The projects featured Burger King’s newest store layout and design. Burger King is the nation’s fifth-largest fast food chain, officials said.

Knoebel completed new construction of four 3,200- to 4,500-square-foot locations in Highland in Metro East; Joplin and Marshfield, Missouri; and Pittsburg, Kansas. The construction firm also completed renovation of four locations, in St. Ann and Granite City locally; Manhattan, Kansas; and Litchfield, Illinois. Construction is underway at Burger King restaurants in Pontoon Beach, Ellisville and St. Louis, officials said.

All of the locations Knoebel completed include two drive-through lanes, an increasingly popular layout with fast food restaurants, officials said.

Knoebel has worked on over 20 franchise Burger King locations over the past five years, in seven states: Missouri, Kansas, Ohio, South Dakota, Georgia, Nebraska and Illinois.

With 2017 revenue of $67.9 million, Knoebel Construction is the region’s 188th largest privately held company, according to Business Journal research.
